Our current venue is St. Teresa’s Hall, Upholland, WN8 0PY.  We realise that this is quite a distance for some of you. We do hope it will be a stop-gap and we are looking at a hall much closer in Knowsley Road, St Helens which could well become available in the new year.

There will be a bar serving a wide range of drinks so we will not be serving tea or coffee in the interval.

We think our club is a little bit different to others as we dance to live music which creates a wonderful atmosphere and this along with the great choice of dances keeps our membership very buoyant! 

We use three main sources for our material – Playford, American contras and contemporary folk dances.  We meet generally every other Wednesday and the dates are on the website and attached to our regular emails which you can sign up to by clicking here to join our mailing list. You will be made most welcome.

The evening runs from 8:00 until 10:00 with a 15 minute interval at about 8:50 when we normally share home-made food. We ask for a contribution of £4:00 to cover the hire of the hall and other costs.

All the dances will be walked through by an experienced caller. Do come along. No dancing experience or partner is required since lots of people will help out and the aim of our club is to make traditional music and dance lots of fun. For your own comfort and to avoid damaging the floor, flat or low-heeled shoes are recommended. Musicians are also welcome (contact Frank for details frankpark58k@gmail.com).
